Welcome to Modular Matters!
In partnership with Volumetric Homes Group and the Modular and Portable Building Association; Modular Matters Conference & Exhibition features the latest developments, innovations, and investments in the volumetric modular sector.
Taking place on 15 & 16 February 2022 at the National Conference Centre (NCC) in Birmingham, the first day of the event covers a range of vertical markets including education, commercial, and healthcare. The second day will cover housing projects including private residential, affordable housing and build to rent.
Modular technology is ever evolving and to help keep pace with this fast-moving sector, Modular Matters demonstrates how to tackle industry challenges through a range of project case studies, innovative architecture and building design together with net zero. Presenting an insight into the future of construction, this event represents a great opportunity to gain industry intelligence and network with those who are at the forefront of the volumetric modular sector.
More about Modular Construction...
Modular construction uses pre-engineered volumetric units that are installed on site as fitted-out and serviced 'building blocks'. The use of modular construction is directly influenced by the client's requirements for speed of construction, quality, added benefits of economy of scale, as well as single point procurement. These benefits may be quantified in a holistic assessment of the costs and value of modular construction in relation to more traditional alternatives.
In a rapidly changing environment, both clients and the supply chain are increasingly looking to improve performance and reduce or hopefully, eliminate conflict and disputes through a teamwork approach – modular construction has been hailed as the solution.

Please Note: As event organisers, we have a wide range of Covid-19 protocols/precautions which are split into different levels dependent on the level of Covid-19 cases and the government guidelines at the time. As we’re still 2-months out from the event, we have not chosen which precautions will be in place for this event but we will be implementing what is deemed necessary at the time.
